Soap manufacturer Manufacture du Siecle

The two sisters Brune and Isaure founded the small soap factory Manufacture du Sciecle in 2016 in the small town of Carpentras. They create high-quality and unique natural soaps with mainly locally sourced ingredients.

The concepts of aromatherapy flow into their creations and their childhood in Provence is also their source of inspiration. For example, the sisters use local olive oil, honey and goat's milk from the immediate surrounding area.

Cold brewing process preserves ingredients

Unlike industrial soap, the soap mass is not heated during production. This gentle cold pressing (cold brewing process) ensures that all the valuable ingredients are retained in the end product.

This means that the skin is intensively cared for and can benefit from the high-quality natural ingredients that lie dormant in this high-quality natural soap.

The sisters make the natural soaps from Manufacture du Siecle by hand in small batches. The hand-made process and the cold brewing process require more time than other soaps, because the soaps have to dry for a few weeks before they can be used.

The famous soap Savon de Marseille, for example, is no longer produced using the cold brewing process. Unfortunately, many of the positive properties are lost
of the ingredients are lost.

Slow Cosmétique Label & Surgras

The soap manufacturer Manufacture du Siecle was awarded the French Slow Cosmetic label (Slow Cosmétique) for its high-quality products.

The Slow Cosmétique label stands for natural cosmetics that are good for people and nature. It stands for handcrafting and small family businesses that produce high-quality natural cosmetics in France.

The natural soaps are particularly recommended for people with sensitive skin.

Because all soaps are surgras . Surgras soap means that more oils are used in the recipe than the chemical reaction of soap production requires.

The result is a soap that contains additional nourishing oils. Visible in the small light dots in the soap. It leaves a nourishing film on the skin. This is particularly beneficial for people with sensitive and dry skin.

Local and organic

All their soaps are made from very valuable, mostly local raw materials.

The olive oil and honey used come from the Vaucluse. The flowers from the Côte d'Azur. The goat's milk and sheep's milk come from the small herds that graze in the immediate vicinity of the soap factory in the mountains of the Vaucluse. The animals live in free herds and their milk is only available during lambing season. This means that the corresponding soaps are only available while stocks last.

Wherever local sourcing is not possible (beurre karité, beurre coco…), the two sisters systematically use organic ingredients.
