The wines were a gift for a dear friend. He hasn't drunk them yet, so I can't give a review. But I will do so later. The delivery and packaging were very good.

Strong white wine

Also goes very well with roasted meat such as roast beef. The wine does not necessarily have to come from the fridge.

Thank you for your review! It's true that this white wine is best enjoyed not too cold.

organic winery Domaine les Hauts Traversiers

Didier and his son Florian grow typical grape varieties of the Ventoux region on 9 hectares of their organic winery Domaine des Hauts Traversiers, with a view of the Vaucluse and Luberon mountains.

Organic & Geographically Protected Origin (AOC)

The winery has been 100% organic since 2010. Their wines are also AOC Ventoux certified. This international label guarantees the origin and protects traditional production methods and grape varieties.

cultivation, assemblage and distribution

The grapes of the Domaine des Hauts Traversiers grow in the fields around Pernes les Fontaines on sandy and loamy soil. All wines are AOC and organic certified and must meet strict quality standards. For example, the grapes are harvested manually.

Unlike many winemakers today, Didier and Florian don't just work on marketing the wine, but also really work in the vineyards. They have the knowledge and therefore also look after the vineyards of some other wineries.

wine insider tip

In order to develop their wine and create complex taste experiences, father and son have been working with an oenologist for several years. They create white wine from the regional grape varieties Roussane, Viognier and Grenache blanc. Red wine from the classic Grenache and Syrah grapes.

Depending on the wine, it is stored in barrique and/or stainless steel barrels in the winery itself.

The wines from the winery are a real insider tip. In terms of taste, they can compete with very renowned, expensive wines. Due to the small growing area, only small quantities are produced and are mainly sold in delicatessens in France and in restaurants in the region.
